  1. How to properly clean your paint brush and paint trays This is a sink. This is the place where you wash your brushes and other painting supplies.

  2. To clean your paint tray, you turn on the water about half flow.

  3. Keeping the tray pointed away from you and towards the back of the sink, you ease it into the path of the water.

  4. Use the paint brush with the water to clean away the paint. Make sure that you face the tray away from the front of the sink.Continue until the tray is clean.

  5. Check to make sure that there is no paint on the back. If there is, clean it the same way as the other side. Place the clean tray upside down on the countertop.

  6. Make sure that you check your brush so the next person using it will have a clean brush to start with.

  7. Stack the trays face down on the side of the sink. You may need to wipe down the counter top or sink. PLEASE use a sponge.

  8. To clean just your brush Turn on the water and lower your brush to where the water hits the bottom of the sink. Gently press down on the brush and rotate back and forth as the water is pushing out most of the paint.

  9. Apply a small amount of liquid soap to the palm of your hand. Place the brush in the soap and use a gentle swirling motion.

  10. Do this for a few seconds. Turn on the water and rinse your hand and the brush at the same time. Repeat the above steps as necessary.

  11. Check to make sure the brushes are clean. You may need to wash them again.

  12. Look. Mr. Brown is really happy that you know how to clean your brushes and paint trays. Please return your brush so the bristles are pointing up. It doesn’t ruin the end and they dry faster.
