Conclusions • the impact tool in on a good way, but nevertheless it is necessary to test in again and to have more attention towards the different events specifities • an assessment toolkit can give an important support for potential hosts in order to understand what hosting an event means • sports events are often seen as ‘swiss army knife’ from politicians poin of view, maybe other stakeholder give clearer directions • be aware of circumstances of the region (place) and the timeframe • there is a need of being more structured and doing more data collection when bidding and hosting events in the Tyrol in order to assess better the (potential) impacts • events do only make sense, if they fit into a long-term strategy of the region
