Currently Michigan is experiencing a proliferation of “Mom and Pop” labs Seizures are ranging from grams to several pounds In 2002, 189 Methamphetamine labs were seized by MSP Between January and July 2003, 133 Methamphetamine labs were seized by MSP It is anticipated that by the end of 2003 at least 225 labs will be seized in Michigan Our trends are following those of western states Methamphetamine: Appeals to students, young professionals, minorities and women

    37. Anhydrous Ammonia Thefts of Anhydrous Ammonia product from farms and fertilizer dealers/outlets Anhydrous Ammonia tanks with tampered valves, hoses, attempts to drill holes in tanks Attempted theft of entire tanks
