  2. What is a Rhombus? • A Rhombus is a parallelogram with opposite equal acute angles, opposite equal obtuse angles, and four equal sides.

  3. Properties • The diagonals are perpendicular. • The diagonals bisect a pair of opposite angles. • Angles are all right angles. • The sides of a rhombus are all congruent (the same length.)

  4. Perimeter 5 3 Its simple math, you just add all the sides 2 5 5+3+2+5=15

  5. Area • Now, area gets a bit tricky, you have to multiply the diagonals, and then divide by two • 13x26=338/2=169 13 26

  6. To find the perimeter of a rhombus, just add up all the lengths of the sides: To find the area of a rhombus, multiply the lengths of the two diagonals and divide by 2 (same as multiplying by 1/2):

  7. More Properties • Opposite angles of a rhombus are congruent (the same size and measure.) • Adjacent sides (ones next to each other) of a rhombus are supplementary. This means that their measures add up to 180 degrees.
