  10. Getting Data for Your Location

  11. As you type in the Search box the possible Census Places show for your selection

  12. Overview provides quick information on 12 different indicators…. Includes indicator value plus a histogram comparing other location of your choice

  13. From the overview page you can see housing news, housing documents or jump to indicators in 5 different categories….

  14. Using the Browse Place will allow you to get to zip code and/or census track level Pop-up window has a bread-crumb trail and links to smaller geographies

  15. The pop-up window gives you a choice of all the Census Tracts in the geography chosen

  16. You now have an overview of the Census Tract chosen You can compare if you want…

  17. To learn more about the indicator click on the (I) for information A pop-up window lets you learn more about the datasets

  18. A small box pops-up with a quick explanation; with a hyper-link to meta data in a separate window.

  19. From overview you can go to Maps, Charts, Rankings or Key Indicators to change your information

  20. Thematic Map based on indicator chosen

  21. Rankings are based on chosen indicator and location type

  22. From any tool you can browse topics or data sources to locate more detailed indicators; it appears in a pop-up window

  23. Charts has a lot of functionality with the ability to change geographies, indicators and the chart layout
