Thesis statement • Goal: Verify free-text claims. • Approach: Build algorithmic and computational models to compute trustworthiness of textual claims, by: • Incorporating the contextin which a source expresses a claim to improve trust computation • Utilizing evidence from other sourcesin the network • Exploring use of various data sources to achieve this goal, including user-generated content • Helping users validate claims through credible information
