High Blood Pressure Diabetes Heart Disease Heart Attack & Stroke Memory Loss Stress hormones cause neuron atrophy and death. Stress hormones cause baseline anxiety levels to increase. Catecholamine increases heart rate and respirations. Catecholamine increases risk of blood clots. Catecholamine increases blood pressure.
