  2. A Little History… • The PŪR brand was created and its products were invented by Minneapolis-based Recovery Engineering Inc., which was sold to Proctor & Gamble for approx. $213 million in 1999. • Their mission: We believe that water is a life-giving element and needs to be respected. Clean water has the power to improve lives by providing people with a healthy body as well as a healthy planet. And at PUR, we strongly believe that everyone deserves access to clean water now and for generations to come. • They offer: • Faucet and Refrigerator Water Filters • Water Pitchers and Dispensers • Flavor Options

  3. Summit On The Summit • Organized by musician, philanthropist, and actionist “Kenna”, Summit On The Summit is an organized expedition to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise awareness for the world water crisis and raise funds for certain charities. • The climb began January 7th, 2010 and reached the summit on January 12th. • The documentary of the climb is scheduled to air March, 14th, 2010. • Such celebrities as Jessica Biel, Emile Hirsch, and Lupe Fiasco has committed to the climb.

  4. Why This Works for PŪR • Having celebrities involved creates an attractiveness source attribute. • This also involves the consumer’s feeling about the brand and what they are doing by creating emotional appeals. • This helps PŪR to position themselves as a socially conscious company.
