Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Savior mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, “Follow Me.” Gospel Workers, p. 363
When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. Mat 9:36

But Jesus wasn't finished with them. He called his disciples and said, "I hurt for these people. For three days now they've been with me, and now they have nothing to eat. I can't send them away without a meal--they'd probably collapse on the road.“ Mat 15:32
Deeply moved, Jesus touched their eyes. They had their sight back that very instant, and joined the procession. Mat 20:34
