The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) permits mineral resource development on its properties to ensure minimal environmental impact and maintain public usability. This program includes the Pointe-Aux-Chenes and Salvador WMAs, as well as the Atchafalaya Delta and Maurepas Swamp WMAs.
