  2. Location • Temperate rainforest are found in areas along the northwestern coast of North America, Northern California, southern Alaska, southern Chile, New Zealand and Australia.

  3. Temperature And Rainfall The Pacific Ocean carries 60-200inches of rain over to the temperate rainforest, which can fall in the form of rain or snow. The average temperature in summer rising to 80 degrees Fahrenheit and in the winter dropping to near freezing, where it may be cold enough for ice to form.

  4. Plants • Ferns, Mosses, fir needles, leaves, twigs, fallen trees., Lichens, Vine maples, Evergreen trees, Redwoods, the Sitka Spruce, the Western Red Cedar and the Western Hemlock.

  5. Animals • Bears, Lynx, birds, elk, deer, cougars, insects, fish, wolves, raccons, tree frogs and fish.
