Matthew 2:1-2 (NIV) • 1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magifrom the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”
Matthew 2:9-12 NIV • 9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.
Matthew 2:9-12 NIV • 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
Face Each Day Eagar to Worship • The Magi clearly stated their purpose “We have come to Worship Him. • When they found the child, they worshipped in humility (“bowed down”) and through gifts. • Each day we can likewise humbly open the door by looking for ways to worship
Keep Your Eye on the Star • It was the star that initially captured the Magi’s interest and opened the door of opportunity for study, travel and worship.

Listen for His Voice in all of Life • 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route. • Magi listened to God Voice in a dream and returned home by another route • This alternate route also gave them new opportunity to share their story.
Listen for His Voice in all of Life • The Spirit of God speaks to us • Through his Word • Through Prayer • Through Circumstances • Our inner impressions • The Church • Not hearing His directions means missing new opportunities that can bless us and others.
