Title Undergraduate Students’ Poster Competition Important dates: Two page summary submission: January 20, 2012 Notification of acceptance: February 5, 2012 Poster Presentation: March 6, 2012 It gives us great pleasure to invite undergraduate students to submit a poster presentation of their work to the 2nd International Conference on Renewable Energy: Generation and Applications (ICREGA’12) that will be held in Al-Ain, United Arab Emirates University, UAE in March 4-7 2012 (http://www.engg.uaeu.ac.ae/icrega12/). • The submitted work may include senior student projects related to the following, but not limited to, themes covered in the conference: • Solar Photovoltaic and Thermal Energy • Wind Energy Systems • Fuel Cells Systems • Biofuels • Other Sustainable Energy Sources • Energy Storage Systems • Electrical Energy Market, Management and Economics • Intelligent Energy/Power Transmission and Distribution • Efficient Energy Utilization • Environmental Issues • Energy Harvesting for Autonomous and Biomedical Applications • Green Buildings • Nano-energy Poster presentations will be held on March 6, 2012 between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. • Students should submit a two page summary of their poster to Dr. Mohammed Abdel-Hafez mhafez@uaeu.ac.aeby January 20, 2012. Accepted projects will be notified by February 5, 2012 and will be required to prepare an A1 size poster (594 × 841mm or 23.39 × 33.11in) and/or presentation on March 6, 2012. At least one student must attend to present the poster. An evaluation process will be conducted separately, and the evaluation committee will be comprised of international experts in the field of renewable energy attending the conference. The top three undergraduate projects will be recognized at the conference banquet dinner as follows: • First Prize: A first place certificate + 2,000 AED cash prize • Second Prize: A second place certificate + 1,500 AED cash prize • Third Prize: A third place certificate + 1000 AED cash prize • All presenting students will receive a certificate of participation. Wining posters will be included on the ICREGA’12 conference website and added to the conference proceedings CDROM. Acknowledgements This project was supported by the …………...
