  3. 1969: STRES (Student TRaineeship Exchange System) cutting age technology! "First time a computer is used for exchange of students"

  4. 1975: From STRES to MATCH The STRES program becomes obsolete with problems arising with software compatibility

  5. 1979: MATCH implementation processing in one only big computer(mainframe)

  6. Exchange systems need 1986… MC members are still coming with paper forms to conferences, and data is being manually entered into computer. upgrading

  7. Introduction of 1989… Target Introduction of Target offers simplicity, flexibility, fairness & efficiency. Transferred the old MATCH software from a mainframe to a PC increased its mobility (on MSDOS)

  8. has been introduced in AIESEC 1995 though only few people had access to it & we didn’t have our AIESEC.net e-mail yet… e-mail

  9. is introduced! Target96 1996

  10. Start of 1996 AGIS development

  11. Insight 1997 Launch of (first internet/web-based system in AIESEC)

  12. we need to start thinking on how to 1998 rebuild Insight

  13. 2001 AIESEC.net & Insight II were introduced

  14. AIESEC.net A web-based community system

  15. Insight II developed with TCS in Java.

  16. 2001 AIESEC.net e-mail was introduced! No more Yahoo! and hotmail account is our business cards!

  17. 2002 SNCI

  19. 2002 AIESEConnect

  20. 2004...! AIESEC The Experience goes global! and our systems need to get aligned…

  21. 2004 AIESEC.net & Insight XP integration

  22. The Challenges stability and performance problems started to arise increasing complexity and poor scalability not enough capacity for the growth of users significant amount of system bugs and downtimes + increasing maintenance costs Low user satisfaction …and more importantly... misalignment with the organizational strategy: no support to AIESEC Experience

  23. The main reasons series of developments started to be patched to the system without a long term roadmap of implementation

  24. today The organization claims now for a new solution... a brand new platform... a newmascot... a new name....
