  1. Our races of athletics: • 100 m • 1000 m • Relay 4x100

  2. The race of 100 metres: The race of 100 metres is a race of speed, the athleetes have to run in a straight line of the track after leaving the starting block the judge assigns each athlete a lane witch they have to keep in for the hole race. The starting blocks are also used for the first part of the 4x100 metres relay race. The athleetes are in a crouching position with their hands on the ground shoulder width, with their thumbs behind the starting line. Both feet are positioned on the starting blocks with the front foot being 2 feet behind the starting line. When the athleetes are ready the starter commands “ON YOUR MARKS” at this point the athleetes are still and looking at the ground. Then the command “GET SET” with this the athleetes raises their hips a little higher than their shoulders. And then the command “GO” your fingers lift of the ground your arms go back and you run as fast as you can. If someone leaves before “go” the starter will shoot the gun twice.

  3. The race of 1000 metres: The 1000 metres race consists of 2 and a half laps of the athletics track. It is a race of resistance that doesn't provide the starting blocks. At the first command the athleetes line up behind the curved starting line. On the second command “ON YOUR MARKS” slightly pend your legs and and on the third command “GO” you start running trying to get to the inside curve as quick as possible. The athleetes are alerted at the left lap by a bell for the athleetes who have already completed one and a half laps.

  4. The 4x100 Relay The start of the relay is in the curve line with starting blocks. Each team is giver a track, each runner runs a distance of 100 m in each change zone the runners head to pass the witness to the next runner. He change zone is delimited by a yellow line in each lane and is 20 metres long and the passing of the witness has to be made in change zone. Unlike the first runner, others runners start standing up. For achieve a good change you need to mark the ground with chalk with a suitable point that you can run from. When your team mate arrives at that point start running. The changing of the witness happens when the team mate running with if catches up with the runner, his arm extends back and the change is made. Once the change is made you can stop running but you can't come out of your lane until all of the race has finished. The first runner bring the witness in his right hand and makes the change into the left hand and then the sequence continues left, right, left, right.
