Understanding One-Time Pad Cryptography

The one-time pad is a secure encryption method with drawbacks such as key length matching message length, vulnerability if the same key is reused, and susceptibility to known-plaintext attacks. This method requires truly random keys and perfect secrecy can only be achieved when each key encrypts a single message. Despite these limitations, the one-time pad is theoretically optimal for achieving perfect secrecy due to its key message space relationship.
