  2. The Materials • Construction Paper in the following colors: • Red • Blue • Orange • Yellow • Green

  3. Making the Kit • All folds will be done short ways. These types of folds are known as “hamburger folds”.

  4. Making the Kit • Leave the red alone. This will be your whole. • Fold the blue once, in half. Tear on the fold. Your blue should now be in two pieces. • Take the orange piece. Fold it twice. Tear along the folds. This will give you four equal pieces.

  5. Making the Kit • Take the yellow paper and fold it three times. Tear on the folds. You should now have 8 pieces of yellow paper. • Take your green sheet of paper and fold it four times. Tear on the folds. You should have 16 pieces of green paper.

  6. Congratulations! • Your kit is now finished! • Use your kit to compare, add and subtract fractions. • Have Fun!
