  2. Already feeling the Christmas spirit? Lucky you! If you’ll be in London for the holidays, you’ll find many of their famous Christmas markets exciting. Each one varies in what they offer so it’s worth visiting all or a few of them. One thing is for sure, they are festive and are great ways to get to know the city even more. What better way to enjoy what London has to offer other than booking a stay at one of the besthotels in South Kensington and spending a few hours chatting away with locals in one of these seasonal markets?

  3. Leicester Square Christmas market Leicester Square Christmas market is one of London’s smaller markets, but it has a lot of fun things for you to discover. They offer confectionary treats, appetizing hot snacks, wooden hand-made toys, and festive ornaments all housed in authentic Bavarian-style wooden huts. It’s located in the centre of Leicester Square Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square are the closest tube stations. Opening times are from Monday to Friday is 12 pm – 10 pm and 10 am – 10 pm from Sat-Sun. Christmas at Leicester Square begins on November 9, 2018, until January 5th of next year and is free entry.

Southbank Centre’s Winter Market Enjoy Southbank Centre’s Winter Market adjacent to the River Thames and indulge yourself on delicious seasonal treats, pick up a few Christmas gifts, catch a fantastic Christmas show, and marvel at the huge Christmas tree they have on display. The nearest tube station to Southbank Centre is Waterloo. There are also bus routes that stop nearby. Christmas at Southbank Centre starts at Friday 9th November until Thursday of 27th December 2018. Opening hours are from Sunday to Thursday is 11 am – 10 pm and from Friday-Saturday is 11 am – 11 pm and free entry.

  5. Winterville on Clapham Common Enjoy the festivities at Winterville on Clapham Common. Located at Winterville, Windmill Drive, SW4 49DE. The nearest stations are Clapham South, Clapham Common, and Clapham North. Winterville has an indoor market where you can shop for gifts. There are also pubs and vintage clothing stalls, as well as areas dedicated to kids and families. You’ll also find great local delicacies at Street Feast and Bar Humbug. If you’re keen, try out Rabbit Rabbit Comedy and the Christmas Labyrinth from Backyard Cinema. Christmas at Clapham Common begins on Nov 15-Dec 23 and is free of entry.

  6. Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park You can book any of the hotels near Kensington London like London House Hotel and head to Winter Wonderland which is situated in the heart of London, at Hyde Park. It opens on the 22nd November 2018 and is open until 9th of January 2019. However, they‘re closed during Christmas Day. Entry is free, although prices may for the different attractions. The closest tube is Knightsbridge, Lancaster Gate, and Marble Arch. You can skate in the UK’s largest outdoor rink or visit The Magical Ice Kingdom, among the many different activities you can try.

  7. Kingston Christmas Market Kingston Christmas Market opens on 15 Nov and runs until 31 Dec 2018. Kingston’s traditional Christmas Market full embraces the city center’s atmosphere. They will have 50 beautiful wooden stall where you’ll find all sorts of festive goodies, arts, and crafts. It’s located at Kingston upon Thames, Clarence Street London, KT1 1BW. 25 minutes from London Waterloo is Kingston Rail Station. Entry is free of charge.
