JOB DESCRIPTION • The General Ledger Reconciliation Group is a part of the Payment Services Department. The group monitors and manages the general ledger data feeds and postings from the payroll and accounts payable systems. This is done by using control procedures that identify, explain, and resolve variances in payroll and accounts payable general ledger accounts.Essential Functions:· Analysis of assigned general ledger accounts.· Journal entry preparation and posting.· Prepare quarterly audit schedules.· Payroll escheat checks analysis.· Reconciliation of accounts payable and payroll bank accounts.· Coding and deposit of checks as received.· Projects as assigned.
EDUCATION • Associate's degree strongly preferred (in Accounting, Finance, Management) or equivalent level of experience.
EXPERIENCE • 2 + years of progressive experience in an Accounting or Finance function required. • Bank reconciliation experience required. • Effective verbal, written communication and analytical skills are essential. Strong PC skills and knowledge is essential. • Knowledge of Oracle is a plus
