  1. Five things to do thisIndependence Day On this special occasion, we remember the great figures of India who made significant contributions to the independence of India. So, let’s find new ways to make India better this Independence day.

  2. Sponsor A Child - • This Independence Day, give someone the right to basic Education and Healthcare facilities. Education is the only way we can put an end to poverty in this country. So, this independence day, go ahead and Sponsor a Child at a trusted NGO in India.

  3. Independence Day Parade - • In the spirit of Independence day in India, it is a tradition that the Prime Minister addresses the nation and delivers a valuable speech at Red Fort. The event also includes marching of around 50-60 soldiers as well. You must watch this program with your family.

  4. Cook for your Family • Stay at home and cook your family a sumptuous meal. Independence Day is a national holiday and all members of the family, who are generally away on a normal day, gets to stay at home.

  5. Fly kites - • Get to your neighbourhoodroof or on the streets of your to fly kites like the old days. The tradition of flying kites on Independence Day is particularly strong in North India, especially in cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Muradabad and Bareilly.

  6. Visit Old age Homes - • The visit to the old-age home was a fulfilling experience. A visit to an old-age home is a life-changing experience as it is filled with emotions and sentiments. Doing something like this, in the spirit of Independence day.

  7. Plan a Short trip - • If you can manage an off day on Monday, enjoy the weekend by planning a short trip to any of your nearby vacation spots. And if it is a long weekend then great for you.
