  1. ME Metrological aplication SW product presentation ME version: 2.8 October 2010 / CZ Mgr. Cyril Modra

  2. Functionality overview • Measurement – collecting data from various measure equipments. • Immediate result evaluation by pre-defined algorithms. • Measured data storage and organization. • Online import from alien measurement systems. • Text outputs and exports for external processing. • Graphical presentation – SPC. page 2 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  3. Measurement / data collecting • System enables collecting raw data from: • dedicated measurement equipments with transducers connected via external HW unit, • similarly attached refurbished profile measure equipments (RTH Rotary, RTH Talyrond, RTH Talylin,...), • operational measure equipments with PC interface (TESA TT10, RTH Surtronic,...). page 3 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  4. Data evaluation Measurement module and its extensions provide immediate numeric and graphical evaluation of measured values. Numerical calculation is performed by pre-defined algorithms – measuring tasks. Graphical results are prepared for subsequent storage and/or analysis. page 4 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  5. Types and measured data organization • Measured data are stored in hierarchy • task > type > archive (batch). • ME Manager enables to manage: • types: setting limits, nominal & etalon dimensions, • archives: reduction, joining, splitting etc. page 5 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  6. Online import from external measure systems ME Manager works even with external archives – outputs from external measurement systems stored in text files in an accessible folder. External archive is online connected by setting file path and choosing mapping definition for measured and header data. Mapping definitions are prepared by an application administrator through XML prescripts. page 6 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  7. Text outputs Archives of measured values can be presented by transferable text reports. Measured data can be exported to other applications for subsequent external processing. Output content and form is user configurable. page 7 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  8. Graphical presentation – SPC The SPC module displays distribution and regulation diagrams for measured parameters. Some actions can be performed and stored during the measure process, they can be analyzed by a Pareto analysis. page 8 Metrological application ME Mgr. Cyril Modra, October 2010

  9. Historical milestones of ME • 1992 – First auxiliary calculation applications processing manually entered data. • 1993 – Extension applications complex for processing data from an alien measurement software; firstly introduced by the name ME – Measuring Environment. • 1995 – ME can measure independently via TB. • 2001 – ME for MS Windows. • 2003 – Extensions for operational measurement equipments. • 2005 – Measure automation support. • 2008 – External archive processing. • 2009 – Profile evaluation extension. page 9 Metrological application ME Mgr.
