Use of Funds • You have just given the best pitch ever. • Your audience knows what problem you’re solving • Why your product is unique and defensible • That you are light years ahead of the competition. • Now comes the “ask” • How much money do you need right now (and in the future) • What is that money going to pay for? • How will it create value in your company? • How can you convey all of this information in just 1-2 slides?

Funding Roadmap • What are the dimensions that you can include? • Time (Q1 – year 1) • Investments (Seed, Series A) • Technical Milestones (prototype, efficiency, etc..) • Business Milestones (partnerships, new hires, first sale, etc..) • Resources (lab space, equipment) • What is really important? • How much is “too much” on one slide?
