What do you see when you or your colleagues are not doing so well? • Anger / aggression • Over working • Under working • Passive • Lack of sleep • Crying / emotional • Negative emails and communication • Mistakes (easy) • Eating badly • Lack of contact with friends / family • Martyr like behaviour • Lack of interest • Limited socialisation • Increased / too much • socialisation • Self medicating • High risk behaviours • Limited boundaries • Limited Self Maintenance eg: no showering, dirty hair etc • No hobbies other than wk

  3. Where do you sit based on the previous answers? • 1 5 10 • One = not doing well • Five = seeing some signs as listed • Ten = feeling great, not seeing any signs at all

  4. Where do you sit on the self care spectrum? • 1 5 10 • One = not building self care in at all • Five = building a little self care in • Ten = I actively schedule self care and actively do self care

What qualities do you see in people who prioritise self care? • Boundary setting • Taking at one day off from all work • Contacting friends and family outside of work regularly • Ensure they plan activities / hobbies aside from work eg: exercise, art, reading novels, listening to music, dancing • They take leave and go on R & R on time • They schedule self care into their week • They encourage others to build in self care • They smile and laugh more • Present themselves better • Able to listen and react calmly in stressful situations • Able to produce more effective and high quality work
