The Lord is on His Throne In the Dictionary a throne is defined as: chair of monarch or bishop: an ornate chair, often raised on a platform and covered by a canopy, occupied by a monarch or bishop on ceremonial occasions person on throne: somebody who has the status to occupy a throne power of royal person: the power, rank, and privileges of a monarch

  3. The LORD sits on His throne. He is above us. He has the status to occupy the throne. He has the power, rank and the privileges on the throne which nobody gave Him but He alone possesed.

  4. If the LORD is in His Throne and if this is the case what do you think as His children we should view the world and all the things that are happening to us. How should we act as His children.

  5. I. HE SITS ON THE THRONE 1KI 22:19 Micaiah said, “Therefore, hear the word of the LORD. I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by Him on His right and on His left. ISA 66:1 Thus says the LORD, “ Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me?

  6. MT 25:31 “But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.

  7. REV 4:2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. REV 4:3 And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. REV 4:4 Around the throne were twenty-four thrones; and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments, and golden crowns on their heads.

  8. II. HE RULES He is in throne and it shows us that He rules. LA 5:19 You, O LORD, rule forever; Your throne is from generation to generation. PS 47:8 God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne.

  9. If the LORD rules and is ruling right now what is the effect and how can that influence you and your life?

REV 7:10 and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, “ Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” REV 7:11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

  11. REV 7:15 “For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them

  12. III. HE JUDGES The LORD judges all of us. In this life and in the life hereafter. PS 9:7 But the LORD abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment,

  13. PS 89:14 Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before You.

  14. REV 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them.

  15. REV 20:12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.

  16. Our God is great. He judges in truth… in righteousness… in lovingkindness… in justice…

  17. In Summary We have a God who sits on the Throne. He rules over all. He judges over all. Let us worship and praise Him because He rules and judges for us.

  18. REV 19:4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne saying, “ Amen. Hallelujah!” REV 19:5 And a voice came from the throne, saying, “ Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”

  19. REV 21:5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”

  20. REV 22:1 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, REV 22:3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;

  21. PS 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

  22. REV 3:21 ‘ He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

  23. We shall overcome because our God rules over all and Jesus is the Lord of all..
