  10. The Role of Treasurer The role involves: • Doling out pocket money for the weekend organisers and buying sweets for the occasional social • Banking a cheque or two • Reminding members to pay up for weekends and the occasional social. But not very often, because you’re all lovely! • Spreadsheets!

  12. The Role of Membership Secretary • It’s always fun chatting to new members on walks encouraging them to join • Going forward you can develop the role as you want - there is plenty of scope for new ideas about how to attract new members and retain existing ones. 13. Communications Currently the role includes: • Emailing regular digests to members, informing members of upcoming socials, walks and weekends, relaying communications from the Committee and HQ However the role has potential to grow: • NDWG has an active facebook presence and part of the role in the future could be managing our facebook page

  22. The Role of Conservation Officer A Volunteer Lead from the ranger service leads the projects; they are responsible for organising all aspects of the day including equipment and safety. The Conservation Office role is to promote the event, confirm the dates with the Volunteer Lead at the conservation organisation and to coordinate getting the NDWG team of people to the event This is a very rewarding role within the committee that doesn't require a large time commitment
