Follow the journey of iSchool UNCG as they provide service to high school students in North Carolina. Starting with a request from regional schools, the program conducts research to understand the needs of advanced juniors and seniors. By forging partnerships with University faculty, Department of Public Instruction, school districts, and more, iSchool UNCG successfully launches a pilot course, leading to regional implementation. Challenges like policy and schedule differences are tackled, resulting in the launch of online learning in 1999. With a focus on continual learning and support services, iSchool UNCG achieves high success rates and GPA improvements in students. This program offers a model worth replicating in other states. For more information, contact Beth W. Boyett, Ph.D., Director of UNCG iSchool.
