Gripan. Jacob H. Age 10 Long Beach. Problem. The problem is when you sweep the dustpan moves. My mother has a problem getting all the dust in the dustpan. It wastes time to clean the room. I see she has this problem around the house. So I came up with this solution.

  2. Problem The problem is when you sweep the dustpan moves. My mother has a problem getting all the dust in the dustpan. It wastes time to clean the room. I see she has this problem around the house. So I came up with this solution.

  3. Brainstorm Solutions to the Problem • Put foot in pan • Handle on pan • Heavy pan

  4. Solution The solution is a dustpan with sticky stuff. The stuff is removable glue,grip pad,and plungers. That is so it will not move. That is my solution.

  5. Design My design was a dustpan with a grip. • Dustpan • Carpet grip • Hot glue

  6. Testing my design To test my design I asked the following questions to 4 people • Is it cheap? • Will it sell? • Does it work? • Would you use it?

  8. Resluts of my test All of my friends thought it would work. All of my friends thought it was cheap. Two of my friends thought it would work, two of my friends thought it wouldn’t work. All of my friends thought it would sell.

  9. How I built it I bought a dustpan at Walmart and some grippy carpet stuff. I built it by hot gluing the carpet stuff to dustpan. So it could grip to the ground.

  10. How I can improve my prototype A way I can improve my prototype is to use sticky bug capturers. At the bottom of the Gripan.

  11. Why you should buy the Gripan I think you should by the Gripan because it will help you with everyday cleaning. Like when you sweep. So it will be easier.
