Best Of 2019: 5 Of The Fascinating Things We Learned About Vaping This Year When vaping levels go up, smoking levels go down This was certainly indicated by reassuring figures released by anti-smoking charity Action of Smoking and Health (ASH) in the autumn. Indeed, the data showed about half as many people vaping as smoking, as the proportion of vapers who were former smokers also went up, to 54.1%.
