  2. Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ This is a program to download and use for sound editing. A must have for must teachers, especially for creating audition CDs! ***Note*** Must download a mP3 encoder (separate, but available for free—directions available in “help”)

  3. Jam Studio www.jamstudio.com This is a web-based site that functions like Apple’s Garage Band.

  4. Music Theory www.musictheory.net This website has basic to advanced music theory instruction, lessons, practice, and useful music tools.

  5. Classics for Kids www.classicsforkids.com This is a very kid-friendly website about composers and music history and contains many pictures and sound examples.

  6. Flubaroo www.flubaroo.com This is a Google Docs/Forms add-on that automatically grades assessments that are given to students online using Google Forms.

  7. eHow www.ehow.com This site has many short videos and fact/information sheets on a wide array of topics that would be appropriate for school.

  8. Educational Origami http://edorigami.wikispaces.com/ This site has plentiful information about current professional development and trends.

  9. Lone Star College-Kingwood Library http://kclibrary.lonestar.edu/decades.html This is a clickable website that provides detailed information about cultural history.

  10. Teacher Tube www.teachertube.com This is an educational video site that is accessible at school.
