ARC Enhancements • Enhance existing products • Implement (where feasible) commenting for articles • Investigate the use polls • Feature the most popular articles on the site • Feature the most searched terms on the site • Supplemental materials additions • Re-purpose content into different kinds of bundles • Create more ways to buy products • Make it easy for authors to provide supplemental materials (including data sets)

ARC Enhancements • Ensure that all articles are available for indexing (includes journal articles and meeting paper articles) • Thomson Reuters • INSPEC • Elsevier • Proquest/Illustra • Ebsco • Add true abstracts to articles (instead of first page views) • Create advertisement opportunities (revenues) from ARC pages

Article/Publication Commenting • Commenting is available per article (cannot be implemented en masse) • Comments are viewable by all users • Can restrict how long comments will be accepted (i.e. will consider comments made within 30 days of an article’s publication) • Comments can be moderated easilyvia browser interface

Member Journal Renewal Wizard • New members and renewing members will be asked if they would like to purchase/renew a journal subscription • Wizard will inform members of their current journal subscriptions’ expiration dates • Members will be able to renew their subscriptions three months before its expiration date • To determine price, the wizard considers: • Country of individual (domestic or foreign) • Format • Individual members can only chose a quantity of 1 subscription for any given journal
