GENERAL Awareness: meetings with stakeholders (including Unions), workshops, newsletters, policy notes Promulgation: JAR FCL1 Emdt 7 and JAR FCL 2 emdt 6 ATCO Reg in 2006 & D.Lgvo 118/2008 (A)FIS Reg by summer 2010 (replacing DPR566/88) National Coordinator: ENAC (Eleonora Italia) Implementation Plan: first in march 2008 last update in september 2009 ICAO Workshop on PLR

  4. Test & Training Pilot Licence • Test selected through EU competition • Test developed by Mayflower College (TEA) • FTO, TRTO, Operator and Lang School as test centers • LPR examiners certified and standardised by ENAC • Test developer standardised by ENAC ICAO Workshop on PLR

  5. Test & Training ATCO Licence • Italian Air Force Test exported to ENAV • TPT ENAV approved by ENAC in April 2009 i.c.w. Doc 9835 • Covers phraseology,conversional & plain language • Checks Level 3,4,5 • ANSP Test examiners / specific reqs to be met • Training and test now included in ab initio courses • Itinerant commission ICAO Workshop on PLR

  6. Difficulties Pilot • Large amount of tests to be taken in 12 months • Mutual recognition of the demonstration of proficiency • No continuous training ATS • (A)FIS Operators to be tested • No continuous training but ITAF ICAO Workshop on PLR
