Top 5 Celebrities That Have Attended The Lucknow Literature Festival Lucknow Literature Festival is one of the largest literary festivals in India, having taken up the mantle to preserve as well as propagate the culture and heritage of the city. And in this quest we’ve had help from renowned personalities from all walks of life – from literature and music to culture and politics – these are the top 5 celebrities have graced the event with their presence: Javed Akhtar The other half of the Salim-Javed duo that gave Bollywood some of its largest movies, Mr. Akhtar is a recipient of the Padma Shri (1999), Padma Bhushan (2007), the Sahitya Akademi Award as well as five National Film Awards.

Shabana Azmi Regarded as one of the finest actresses in India, Shabana Azmi has experience in theater, television and films. Her performances have garnered her several praises and awards, including 5 National Awards. At the 2015 edition of the Lucknow Literature Festival, Mrs. Azmi said – “Lucknow Literature Festival is one of a kind which emphasizes on Hindi, Awadhi and Urdu. It promotes Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb”.
