  5. In humid areas rain is more likely to happen, while in many drought-prone areas it decreases and becomes more irregular.

  6. Water quality will get worse with the rising of temperature and increasing pollution levels.

  7. The increase of the amount of water needed for a population that is growing steadily.

  8. The steady increase of urban areas with paved streets and roads speeds the return of water to the sea, because it cannot filter through the paved surface.

  9. People do not live where the water is and this contributes to its bad distribution.

  10. The growing industry increasingly requires large amounts of water.

  11. Water is removed faster than recharged.

  12. Every day 3,800 children worldwide die from diseases associated with lack of drinking water.

  13. One out of six people do not receive the minimum amount of water recommended by the United Nations.
