  2. Downloading from NT • You will need to run embedded Developer studio • Like most IDEs it works on the idea of a project • You must create a project for the correct board • The Flash Module

  3. Compiling on NT • You must build your project from the pull down menu • If there are errors you can get to them from the error window • The final phase will run some extra programs • debuginfo • sbin

  4. Downloading from NT • The code you have created will not run on the same machine – it must be downloaded • Run target to connect to the board • The CMS board must be physically connected • Use Comm 1 • Check the settings • 38400 baud, 1 stop no parity

  5. Downloading from NT • Once connect to the board you can issue CMS commands • mdir • load • Load will allow you to load the program into memory • Use the project name • mdir will show that it has been loaded

  6. Problems with NT • There are a large number of problems with EDS on NT • Many are to do with the configuration of NT • Comms can always be a problem • Frequently need to reboot
