  1. Story Recaps • LAST TIME ON… • You and your group will basically summarize what we read the day before, but each member will have a different job. • The Summarizer • The Definer • The Illustrator • The Character Rapper

Recap Job Descriptions • The Summarizer will write an eight-sentence paragraph, summarizing yesterday’s reading. • The Definer will select four unfamiliar words from the reading to define in their own words. • The Illustrator will draw a full-page, colorful picture that depicts a scene from yesterday’s reading. • The Character Rapper will write an eight-line rap about any character from yesterday’s reading, other than Odysseus

  3. Further Instructions • You will choose one of these jobs, be prepared to share it with the class the next day, and then staple all of your papers to turn in to me. • PUT YOUR NAME AT THE TOP • You will receive five minutes at the end of each class to discuss with your group

  6. Character Rap Example Odysseus is the hero, On his way home, Losing men left and right, Soon, he’ll be all alone. Facing multiple trials, Ever since his journey begun, And all he wants to do, Is get home to his wife and son.
