At the conclusion of each 20 minute half, teams will receive an evaluation/grade of their performance and receive a ranking in the competition. Team evaluation/grades will be tabulated at the end of the competition to give an overall score. • All five team members must take part in the competition. • During the competition, only four students may compete at once. Alternates will sit in a designated area during the competition. • The team’s alternate must be substituted during half time.  If a team participates in a tiebreak situation, the team captain may substitute for the alternate at this time. • While students are problem solving in teams of four, no one may blurt out an answer. Teams will receive only 1 warning. The second warning will result in disqualification. • In case of a tie, teams will be given five minutes to take a 12 question tie break exam.
