  1. Point of Conduct • Points of Conduct is a summary of some of the most common issues addressed in the student code of conduct. Each day we will review one point. The goal is that if students are familiar with the conduct points they will make good decisions.

Point of Conduct • Cell Phones • If a cell phone or other electronic device is seen or heard inside the school building before, during or after school it will be taken to the AP with the following consequences: • 1st offense: Device returned to parent after school day. • 2nd-4th Offense: Device returned to parent with a $15 fee. • 5th+ Offense: Device returned to parend with a $15 fee and an ISS assignment.

  4. Point of Conduct • Backpacks • Backpacks and book bags are not allowed in classrooms. They must be left in student lockers.

  5. Dress Code Shorts, skirts and dresses must be no shorter than the width of the student’s hand above the knee. All dress code violations will be sent to the office immediately and the student will have to change. Point of Conduct

  7. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Students may not wear bodysuits, halter tops, backless tops, dresses or mini-skirts. • Boys may not wear sleeveless shirts.

  8. Point of Conduct • Tardies • More than 3 tardies results in 1 day of lunch d-hall per tardy. For example..6 tardies = 3 days of lunch d-hall. • Excessive tardies (10+) result in an ISS assignment. Don’t be Late

  9. Points of Conduct • Cursing/Inappropriate Language • Cursing and inappropriate language will result in 1-3 days of ISS.

  10. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Boys may not wear earrings or spacers in school or on busses. • Students may not wear piercings.

  11. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • All baggy pants must be belted and pulled up high enough so that undergarments are not visible.

  12. Points of Conduct • Scuffling • Scuffling anywhere on the GJHS campus will result in ISS, usually for all students involved. • Students watching or encouraging a fight will also be assigned ISS.

  13. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Shirts must be long enough to cover the tops of the pants when sitting or standing.

  14. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Caps, hats and sunglasses should be left in lockers. If seen, they will be taken to the office. Students may pick them up at the end of the school day.

  15. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Students may not wear pajamas, sleepwear, house shoes or fuzzy slippers to school.

  16. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Students may not wear clothing with messages that refer to negative behavior.

  17. Point of Conduct • Dress Code • Hair should be neat, clean and out of the eyes. No unusual hair color is allowed.

Point of Conduct • Once on campus, students may not leave without being signed out by a parent. • In the mornings you may only enter the building if you are eating breakfast or the weather is bad (rain, snow, <32 degrees, etc…) • You may only enter the building in the morning through the front or rear doors.

  19. Point of Conduct • Students may not enter another teacher’s classroom without a note. • If you skip a class or are not where you are supposed to be you will be assigned ISS.
