Drum Type Asphalt Plants: Improving the Basic Model The drum type asphalt plant is a type of asphalt mixing plant which produces a continuous flow of asphalt when you mix in the aggregate materials, which is why it is also called the Continuous drum mix plant. This is the type of asphalt mixing plant that can handle bulk orders quickly, since it is constantly mixing the materials based on the programmed process. There are different types of asphalt plants, depending on their functionality and portability. The basic drum type asphalt plant can either be stationary or mobile. The stationary asphalt mixing plant will produce asphalt in one location and transport them to the site. This offers stability and also, the least investment cost. For projects that need quick asphalt supply, there are mobile or portable asphalt drum plants.
