3. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) - बचपन में • माँ बच्चे के जन्म के बाद कुछ दिन मर  जाती है • चची जैनब (स:अ) उसका ख़याल रखती हैं   • दादा अली (अ:स) की तरह आकर्षक रूप है  • दादा अली (अ:स) बहुत प्यार करते हैं  • जब दो साल के हैं तो दादा अली (अ:स) काक़त्ल  हो गया   • मदीने में वापसी

4. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) 13 साल  की ऊमर तक  • अल-हसन (अ:स) और अल-हुसैन (अ:स) ने पढ़ाया  • मस्जिदे-नबवी में आयोजित परिचर्चा में भाग लिया • अल-हसन (अ:स) से  गहरेसम्बन्ध  • जैनब ( स:अ) से बहुत नज़दीक, जो चाची थीं • सीखने और तर्क की उनकी क्षमता उत्कृष्ट है

5. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) अपनी जवानी में • 14 साल की ऊमर में अल-हसन को खोया जो मु'आविया के ज़हर से मारे गए • औसतकद, पतला, सुन्दर और प्रभावशाली. • चरित्र इस्लाम से ढाला गया था • अपने पिता के नेतृत्व मेंचर्चा में भागलेना 

6. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) पूर्ववयस्कता में • फातिमा से शादी - अल-हसन (अ:स) की बेटी  • शादी के एक साल बाद एक लड़का पैदा हुआ, नाम - मुहम्मद (अल बाक़िर  [स:अ]) • उम्मत परेशानी में थी क्योंकि मु-आविया यज़ीद को ख़लीफा नियुक्त करना चाहता था  • कुछ समय के लिए मु'आविया के एजेंट और सहयोगी लोगों के बीच यज़ीद की स्वीकृति और सहयोग को बेचने में लगे थे 

7. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) अल-हुसैन (अ:स) के साथ कर्बला      • ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स), अपनी पत्नी और अपने सुपुत्र (मुहम्मद अल बाक़िर अ:स) के साथ कर्बला में अल-हुसैन (अस) के साथ थे  • वोह नबी (स:अ:व) के परिवार पर कर्बला में हुई बर्बरता और के गवाहहैं  • अपने पिता, चचा, और बहुत सारे रिश्तेदारों (१७ किशोरों)कीनिर्दयता से हत्या और उनके हाथ और सरों को टुकड़ों मेंकटते देखा   • जलते हुए खैमे, और उन खैमों से बच्चों की चीखें और डरे एवं भागते हुए बच्चों को आश्रय ढूँढता हुआ देखा  • बीमारी और बेहोशी की हालत में दुःस्वप्न देखा 

8. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) कर्बला में  • वह कर्बला की घटनाओं के दौरान बुखार और बेहोशी के साथगंभीरता से बीमार हो गए  • उनको कर्बला की अशांति के दौरान इमामत का दर्जा मिला  • जैनब (स:अ) ने उनको इमाम कहा  • कुफा में इब्न-ज़ियाद क़ा सामना कुरान को उद्धृत (कुरानकी रोशनी) करते हुए किया • उनको 700 मील दमिश्क (सीरिया) बेड़ी में ले जाया गया  • 72 सर, पिता के सर समेत, भालों के शीर्ष पर दिखावे के लिए रखे गए 

9. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) दमिश्क में  • दर्शकों ने इनके विद्रोही होने को  सोचा  • यज़ीद के साथ आमना सामना, जवाब केवल कुरान के सन्दर्भ में दिया, यज़ीद को मात दी  • मस्जिदे उमवी में शुक्रवार के नमाज़ में भाषण दिया  • अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार परिवार के साथ मदीना वापस आ गए, लेकिन भयानक क्लेश ने कभी उनके मन को नहीं छोड़ा

10. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) मस्जिद उमवी में दिए गए खुतबा का कुछ भाग   • मैं मक्का और मदीना के प्रभु का वंशज हूँ • मैं ज़मज़म और सफा के प्रभु का अंग हूँ, • मई उसका नज़दीकी वंशज हूँ जिसके पूर्वज ने अपनी चादर में काला पत्थर उठाया था , • मै उसका बेटा हूँ जो बुर्राक पर सवार हुआ और जिसने जन्नत की सैर की  • मै उसके वंशज में से हूँ जो सिद्रातुल मुन्तहा तक गया, और अल्लाह ने उसे वही के फव्वारा का स्त्रोत दिखाया था 

11. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) खुतबा का अतिरिक्त भाग  • मै उस मार्गदर्शक की संतान हूँ, जिससे काफिरों क़ो  सीधे रास्ते का मार्गदर्शन मिल गया, मै ... • मै उस इंसान की संतान हूँजिसके जीवन के सूत्र क़ो क्रूर उँगलियों ने तोड़ दिया, • और मै उस इंसान की संतान हूँ जिसका गला उस समय काटा गया जब वो प्यासा था, और जिसकी लाश क़ो कर्बला की जलती रेत पर छोड़  दिया गया, • और मै उस इंसान की संतान हूँ जिसके पिता की शहादत का सोग आसमान में फ़रिश्तों ने और जिन्नों और इंसानों सभी ने किया, • और मै उस इंसान की संतान हूँ जिसके पिता का कटा हुआ सर नैज़े (भाले) पर बुलंद किया गया और उसको शहर-शहर दिखाने के लिये घुमाया गया

12. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) ने तनहाई  अपना ली. • कर्बला के वाक़ये के बाद ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) ने मदीना के बाहर एक तम्बू में एक साल तक तन्हाई अपना ली • ईस दौरान जनाब ज़ैनब (स:अ) ने रोज़ाना उनका ख़्याल रखा • सिर्फ़ पांच लोगों क़ो  उनसे मिलने की इजाज़त थी • चचा मोहम्मान इब्ने अल-हनफ़िया ने उनका प्रतिनिधित्व किया और उनकी और से कार्य करते थे • अपना सारा समय दुआ लिखने, सोचने और नमाज़ में बिताते थे • गुप्त एजेंटों और जासूसों से दूर रहते थे

13. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) उन्होंने भविष्य इस्लामी कार्यों के लिए रास्ता बनाया • तीन चैनल : • इस्लामीक विद्वानों की उपजजो बनी-उम्मैय्या के तख़्त क़ो उलट दे (ईस्लामिक विद्वान) • संचार के साधन - विद्वानों के विभिन्न काडर द्वारा शिक्षाओं का प्रसार • पारदर्शी नेटवर्क की स्थापना - अहलेबैत को बढ़ावा देने के लिए • ऊपर लिखी हुई बातों क़ो हर एक साल पारदर्शीतरीक़ेसेलगातार किया जाता है!

14. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) उनकी तत्काल अवधि • महत्वपूर्ण तत्काल रणनीति : • Crying and actively seeking people’s sympathy for Al-Husain, and talk about Karbala persistently • Emphasizes Prayer and long Sujood • Persists on Du’aa, composing them and let them be the MAP for the future works • Shuns Politics Completely • Starts Majlis for Imam Husain every year • Gradually educate scholars in Islam

15. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Give refuge to Benu Umayya • Hosts Marwan's family and relatives, 400 members, free of charges. • Kept them for several weeks, • Period when Yazid’s army invaded Medina • Marwan was the nemesis and trouble maker during Uthman’s rule • Marwan was the enemy of Ahlul Bayt, but now he is in need of their help • Marwan fought Ali during Jamal Confrontation

16. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) समय की अशांति • Zainul Abideen witnesses the grave consequences of the failed Medina uprising: • Sahaaba killed, • Wives assaulted, and • Property pilfered • Ka’ba was attacked by Yazid to pacify Ibn Zubair • Al-Hajjaj burns the Ka’ba by throwing catapult • Yazid dies at age of 33 Years • The forces leave Mecca

17. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) यज़ीद के 3 साल की हुकूमत के दौरान यज़ीद की हुकूमत के अत्याचार

18. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) More uprisings • Uprising of Tawwaboon against Benu Umayya: fight unto death • Uprising of Mukhtar in Iraq: Occupy Iraq, chase all fighters against Husain and kill them, including Ibn Ziyad, Shimr, and Omar ibn Sa’ad • Marwan becomes Khalifa, then dies 9 months later • It is said Marwan was killed by his wife by either poisoning or by way of choking

19. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Tough times • Al-Hajjaj (who attacked the Ka’ba to subdue Ibn Zubair), becomes governor of Iraq, • Tyrannical rule in Iraq for 20 years. The new dictator’s cruelty knows no limits • Abdul Malik (son of Marwan) is Khalifa in Syria • Zainul Abideen works diligently to focus on Piety as the basis for society.

20. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) इस्लामी संस्थान • Steady growth of the Islamic Institute over 27 years’ period • Diligent work in tutoring of scholars. • Growth steady but fast growing • Al-Baaqir, and grandson Al-Saadiq participate in the Discourses and Discussions • Al the end, 160 Scholars graduate

21. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) उनका सिखाना और चर्चाएँ • Tafseer, • Hadith, • Ah'kaam, and • Jurisprudence • He wrote Al-Saheefa Al-Sajjadiyah • He wrote Risalah al-Huquq (Personal Rights versus Personal Obligations in our life)

26. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) The Imamah. • Imamah is not subject to election or negotiation. It is a designation (a Directive) by the Almighty. • An Imam is Ma'soom, meaning safeguarded by Allah from: • a) religious error, • b) sin, and • c) forgetfulness.

27. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) To Keep Karbala in Mind I • Imam Zainul Abideen urged the people to visit the site of Karbala.  Thus people confirmed their resolve in the Islamic principles Imam Al‑Husain stood for.  • He encouraged Muslims to observe the anniversary of Karbala every year. • This led to Majlis every year done at the time in confidential manner, in private houses  • He used to visit the burial area of Imam Al‑Husain every year.  • He would visit Karbala un‑announced, often unnoticed.

28. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) To Keep Karbala in Mind II • He recommended that in Sujood to touch a clean Turbah. This was recommended so that a person's highest part of Salat (Sujood) be associated with the principles Imam Al‑Husain gave his life for, meaning authentic Islam. • He used a logo:  May the Killer of Al‑Husain Ibn Ali be Debased and Defiled. • The Logo became popular

29. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Emphasis • Imamah was frequently explained and emphasized, and • Ismah  (as attested by Ayah of Tat'heer) was often emphasized,  (Surah  33 : Ayah  33) and • The unique and Center Role of Ahlul Bayt in Islam was often explained. • Work to produce high quality scholars, • who were to teach others about true Islam, • thus spread the word about the motive and the principles which Imam Al‑Husain had given his life for, and • at the same time expose the offenses of Benu Umayya.

30. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) The Institute graduatesmore than 160 scholars.

31. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Renowned Students • Al‑Baaqir and his brother Zayd also participated in the discourses, • Well known students were: • Hasan Al-Basri • Al-Thamali • Al-Zuhri • Ibn Tawoos, and • many other erudite scholars

32. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Character • Zainul Abideen was very forgiving and generous. • During Ramadhan, he would record whatever misdemeanor his servants did, then let them acknowledge, then give them their freedom • He used to buy as many slaves as he could afford, educate them then set them free • He was revered in the community since he was the Imam of the Ummah

33. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Character • Zainul Abideen had empathy for the poor and needy • He used to carry sacs of flour to distribute to the poor • During Ramadhan he would cook one sheep each day for distribution to the fasting needy • He had a very melodic voice, people loved hearing him read the Quran • Zainul Abideen never wore his clothes for more than one season, then gave them to the poor • Financially he helped numerous needy people

34. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Sample Du’aa:Imploring protection from evil Dear Lord, I implore Thy protection from:       · Extremes in greed,       · Being hasty in anger,       · Being dominated by envy,       · Lacking of patience,       · Being with scarcity of contentment,       · Being with depravity of morals,       · Being beseeched by passion,       · An indulgence of zeal,       · The submitting to desires, and       · Opposing what is right..... 

35. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Munajaat:Tender Prayers My Lord!     Thy bounty which Thou hast begun‑‑complete it!     Thy generosity which Thou hast given me‑‑strip it not away!     Thy cover over me through Thy clemency‑‑tear it not away!     My misdeeds which Thou hast come to know‑‑forgive them! My Lord!     I seek intercession from Thee with Thee, and     I seek sanctuary in Thee from Thee!     I have come to Thee craving Thy beneficence, desiring Thy kindness,     So act toward me with forgiveness and mercy of which Thou art worthy!     Act not toward me with chastisement and vengeance of which I am worthy! By Thy mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

36. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) EPISTLE OF RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONSZainul Abideen delineated the basic rights, mostly from Shari'ah • Allah's rights on man, covering a wide range of prerogatives. • Rights of body and soul, • Rights of family members, • Rights of those superior to the person or dependant on him, • Rights of neighbors and friends, not excluding the non‑Muslims.

37. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) EPISTLE OF RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS:Rights of the wife: • It is the right of your wife that you should know that Allah has made her for you a repose and comfort, and a friend and shield [against sin]. • And likewise, it is incumbent upon both of you to thank Allah for your spouse and to know that the spouse is a grace of Allah upon you.  You are obliged • ·  to respect her, • ·  be kind to her, and • ·  although your rights upon her are greater and her obedience to you final in all your likes and dislikes so long as it is not a sin • So, she has the right of love and fellowship, and an abode so that natural desires may be fulfilled, and in this it is a great duty.

38. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Zainul Abideen dies • Zainul Abideen dies at age of 57, reportedly poisoned. • Had calloused skin at place of Sujood (forehead) • Thick skin in his back due to carrying sacs of flour at night to distribute to the poor • Became pale with curved back due to incessant prayers • Had the roughest experience: be it in Karbala, political times, and other circumstances • His load was enormously heavy and psychologically taxing

39. ज़ैनुल आबेदीन (अ:स) Burial • Zainul Abideen was buried at the Baqii’ • He and others knew the ruling Benu Umayya would not allow the burial otherwise • With time, a structure was built for people to perform visitation, pray, and read Du’aa • The structure was demolished by Rulers in 1925
