Acts 3:22-26 “Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up…by turning each of you from your wicked ways.” Deut 18:15, 18 15-”The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you shall heed such a prophet.” Genesis 22:18 Peter’s Speech Listen to the prophet that is coming (Jesus) and this prophet will bless Abraham’s descendants and help them into the kingdom of God.

Acts 4:11 “This Jesus is ‘the stone that was rejected by you, the builders; it has become the cornerstone.’” Also in Mt, Mk, Lk (Aland p. 242) Psalms 118:22 “The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.” Also in Isaiah 28:16 Old Testament Parallels “Builders” = scribes and others who didn’t like Jesus Cornerstone = Jesus is the foundation

  6. Psalms 2:1-2 “Why do the nations conspire, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and his anointed” Acts 4:25b-26 “Why did the Gentiles rage, and the prophets imagine vain things? The kings of the earth took their stand, and the rulers have gathered together against the Lord and against his Messiah.” Praying for Boldness
