    3. INTRODUCTION The focus of this presentation is to inform Maori Mental Health Providers on the newly established Kaupapa Maori Clinical Support Services

Poutiri Trust Poutiri Trust was established as a Charitable Trust in 1997 by the collective Iwi body for the health in the Bay of Plenty known as Te Whanau Poutirirangi Ora a Papa (TWPAP) Poutiri Trust is a Maori Development Organisation (MDO) which comprises of 18 health providers (East, West & South) Poutiri Trust provides a range of health services with 6 network providers delivering Mental Health Services

    6. KMCSS Role To strengthen the capability and capacity of Hauora that hold clinical contracts with BoPDHB  To strengthen the clinical workforce so that we are capable and committed to reduce health disparities for Maori Interface between primary & secondary care

KMCSS Outcomes Clinical Excellence – by providing clinical training in areas identified by Hauora Facilitate clinical career pathways, to strengthen our workforce to better service our people To provide Supervision & Mentoring To facilitate a pathway to a Kaupapa Maori Advanced Practitioner Bottom line – increased capacity & capability of the Maori Mental Health workforce in the BOP region

    9. Access to Service All Kaupapa Maori Mental Health Clinical Contracts Provided by the BoPDHB across the entire BoP region both EBoP & WBoP This service is free and will be delivered according to priority and post service analysis.
