YOUR MISSION • INCREASE YOUR STORE’S WEEKLY MERCHANDISE SALES TOTALS • Amount of weekly increase for each store is determined by calculating the difference in total merchandise sales as compared to the same week in the previous month • EXAMPLE: • Sales Total Week 1 July – Sales Total Week 1 June = • Sales DIFFERENCE for Week 1 July • Goal is to achieve a POSITIVE difference in weekly sales

AWARDS Monthly Winners: Winning store for any given week is determined by the highest positive difference (percentage increase) in sales for that week Two $25.00 gift cards will be awarded to the store with the most weekly sales wins In the event of a tie, the monthly award will go to the store with the greatest overall % increase in merch sales for the month

  4. HANG IN THERE! The contest is in effect from July through December The store with the most number of weekly wins will be awarded TWO $50.00 gift cards!

  5. HOW THE WINNERS ARE DETERMINED

  6. GATHERING DATA • Look at Executive Summary for previous Saturday for all sites • Input total Merchandise Sales into spreadsheet • Subtract previous week sales from total Merchandise Sales • Calculate % increase in weekly sales over last month, same week, to determine Top 3

  7. THE NUMBERS Total Sales to Date Percent Increase Over LM

  8. IN CASE OF A TIE • 2 or more sites have accrued the same number of weekly wins in a given month • Compare total % increase in sales for current month vs. previous month • We crown the King of the Merch Hill for the month!

  10. STRATEGIES TO INCREASE MERCHANDISE SALES DISCUSSION – HOW DO YOUENGAGE CUSTOMERS? WALK THEM TO THE MERCH ASK ALL CUSTOMERS – Not just move-ins – Business Reps., etc.
