  5. Challenges • Students who choose to “take the easy way out” will not get as much out of the assignment • Remembering the EXL grading rubric • Determining service hours

  6. Tips • Emphasize that grade is for the demonstrated learning, not the interview or service. • Complete EXL rubric while grading papers. • Require verification. • Evaluate advantages/disadvantages to doing class vs. individual vs. small group projects. • Give students class time for the projects.
