  4. Objective ..to learn how to use indenting to format paragraphs, to improve presentation of a document

  5. Indentation ..determines the distance of the paragraph from either the left or the right margin. Within the margin, you can increase or decrease the indentation of a paragraph or group of paragraph First Indent Hanging Indent Right Indent Horizontal Ruler

  6. No Indentation

  7. First Indent An indent that indents only the first line but not the rest.

  8. Hanging Indent An indent that indents all text but the first line.

  9. Left Indent An indent that indent all text to the left

  10. Right Indent An indent that indent all text to the right

  11. How to Indent Option 1 – Using Paragraph Dialog Box

  12. How to Indent Option 2 – Using the Horizontal Ruler Play around with the First Indent, Hanging Indent, Left Indent and Right Indent marker.

  13. How to Indent Option 3 – Using Indent Toolbar Decrease Indent Increase Indent The indenting buttons at the Home tab under Paragraph group moves the Left Indent Marker in increments of 5 spaces

  14. Why is indentation important? it show clarity.. ..making easier to read ..distinguish where one paragraph ends and the next begins..
