  2. Life overview • Born in 1650 in most likely England • Died in October of 1702 • Was a pirate from only 1679-1682 • Is in a book written in 1684-The Dangerous Voyage And Bold Assaults of Captain Bartholomew Sharp and Others

  3. Ship and code of Conduct • Since his pirate career was so short, he did not develop a solid pirate conduct • Did most of the pirate norms, like he raided but did not kill unless he had to

  4. Flag, Himself, and His ship It is unconfirmed but this is what his two flags and himself should look like. It seems that he had a jolly roger of a skeleton drinking with a man.

  5. Relations to Other pirates • Sailed between the times of Capt. Morgan and Capt. Kidd • 1671-he was a young buccaneer in Morgan’s raiding parties • Sailed with Captains Peter Harris, John Coxon, Edmund Cook and Richard Sawkins

  7. Life of a Pirate • His main voyage was with the other four captains • When two of them died and one left, he became captain of the flag ship Trinidad

  8. Tales of Capt. Bart • He sailed with Captain Morgan during Morgan’s Raid on Panama City • His most memorable adventure was the one he shared with the other 4 captains • Eventually, he because the general captain of that group and all the crew under it

Chart Stealer • During his last act of piracy, he raided a Spanish ship called the El Santo Rosario • With the usual treasures, that particular ship contained a book with all the secret charts of the Caribbean which were very accurate and very valuable • Upon returning to England, the Spanish called for his immediate execution under the Treaty of Madrid, but Charles II pardoned him considering the fact that Sharp gave him many pieces of eight and that valuable book • His life as a pirate thus ended there
