หูใบ (stipule). ใบอาจจะมีหูใบ (stipulate) หรือไม่มี (exstipulate, estipulate) ก็ได้ หูใบอาจแบ่งออกเป็นหลายแบบ คือ Ligule, Free lateral Stipule, Ochrea, Adnate Stipule.

  1. หูใบ (stipule) ใบอาจจะมีหูใบ (stipulate) หรือไม่มี (exstipulate, estipulate) ก็ได้ หูใบอาจแบ่งออกเป็นหลายแบบ คือ Ligule, Free lateral Stipule, Ochrea, Adnate Stipule Ligule เป็นหูใบที่พบในพืชในเลี้ยงเดี่ยวบางชนิด มีลักษณะเป็นแผ่น เจริญอยู่ที่บริเวณรอยต่อระหว่างกาบใบและแผ่นใบเป็นเยื่อบางๆ ชี้ออกจากตัวใบลักษณะคล้ายลิ้น เช่น ข้าว หญ้า (กายวิภาค และสัณฐานวิทยาของพืช, 2543)

  2. หูใบ (stipule) ต่อ Ochreaคือหูใบที่เชื่อมติดกันเป็นหลอดหุ้มลำต้น เช่น เอื้องเพ็ดม้า (กายวิภาค และสัณฐานวิทยาของพืช, 2543)

  3. หูใบ (stipule) ต่อ (กายวิภาค และสัณฐานวิทยาของพืช, 2543) Free lateral stipuleหูใบที่เกิดอยู่ด้านข้างของก้านใบ ติดกับก้านใบเฉพาะบริเวณโคนของหูใบเท่านั้น ส่วนที่เหลือเป็นอิสระ เช่น พู่ระหง
