  3. International and Regional Cooperation International Telecommunication Union Universal Postal Union Regional Commonwealth in the sphere of Communications European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

  4. International and Regional Cooperation In order to deepen close relations with foreign countries Georgia continues signing up the Agreements and Memorandums on cooperation in the field of Electronic Communications, IT and Post. Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

National Numbering System (NNS) ● According to the international standards was changed National Numbering System of electronic communications. ● The unified emergence number 112 was established ● Georgia has the European model of National Numbering System ● The number portability is available Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

Development of E-government systems Different Ministries and Governmental agencies introduced many e-services such as: ● Archive of Technical Records; ● Activation of E-Declaration via Video Call; ● E-Auction; ● E-Budget; ● E-Declaration, etc. Public Service Halls delivers over 300 services with the help of information technologies Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

Development e-learning and e-commerce systems • ● Realization of the project “Deer Leap”; • ● All schools are interconnected through the internet; • ● Every school was equipped with the computers; • ● With the support of Twinning project was elaborated the strategy for the development e-commerce systems.

  8. Innovative Georgia - 2020 • ● Creation of the project – “Innovation Georgia -2020”; • ● Establishment of : • Technological Parks; • Business and Innovative Centers; • LEPL “The Innovation and Technology Agency” Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

Digital Broadcasting ● Transition from analog TV broadcasting into the digital one; ● The project “Digital switchover policy and its implementation in Georgia” was elaborated; ● Relevant legislative acts such as Georgian law on “Electronic Communications” and Georgian law on “Broadcasting” were amended; ● The LEPL “Digital Broadcasting Agency” was established. ● Digital TV broadcasting will be implemented until 2015 in the country.
