6. For all Arts students The English Language Proficiency Program is designed to ensure that students have the necessary writing skills for academic success. English Language Proficiency Exam The English Language Proficiency Examination (ELPE) requires students to write a 300-500 word impromptu essay in 50 minutes. Students are respond to topical issues. Tip: How well students write is much more important than how much they write. Arts: Grade: 65 to passTime Requirement: must write ELPE by end of 1A; must pass it by end of 2B ELPE English Language Proficiency Exam PAC (Physical Activities Complex) Wednesday, September 5, 2007 12 noon This session is for ARTS students who have less than 80% in E4U.  ARTS students who have 80% or higher in E4U write in December. ARTS transfer students and ARTS out-of province students should also write in December.

The last minute cramming which was popular in high school does not work here!” “I wish I had known more about my academic record and how the averages are calculated so I would have known what was expected of me.” Counselling services is something that I would have wanted to know more about. They have workshops on study tips and studying techniques, time management and procrastination - would have been very useful! “It really helps to have a four month calendar up above your desk so you have a constant reminder of what is going on.”
