Training methodology The general framework of the TSM will be followed by the three EU partners. However each EU partner will organize its own detailed schedule on both General Training and Intensive Training, according to the available trainers and facilities as well as to the teaching units assigned.
Senior staff training methodology GENERAL TRAINING Intensive Training A two weeks General Training addressed to 12 Senior scholars from the three Iraqi universities will be organized in LMU Munich. The Senior staff training will aim at improving their technical and academic skills focusing on didactic, research and innovation policies

Junior staff training methodology GENERAL TRAINING INTENSIVE TRAINING A two weeks General Training addressed to 12 Junior scholars from the three Iraqi universities will be organized in LMU, Koç and UNIBO. Junior staff training will aim at improving both their technical and academic skills focusing on didactic, research and innovation policies. Moreover by focusing on specific themes on the History and Archaeology of the Ancient Near East, we will also aim at improving the topics that they will teach since the beginning of their careers putting them in line with the EU standards.
General training Academic writing (in English) Conception of degree courses Internationalization in academia Leadership and people management Digital Humanities in the Ancient Near East Research-oriented teaching and supervision
General training During their 2 weeks training Senior Iraqi scholars will follow lectures, seminars on the topics listed in the previous slide. In the case of Junior scholars General training will generally cover the first part of their period in the EU. Each EU partner will organize general trainings according to their trainers.
Intensive training Intensive training will be divided into two parts: Part 1. Each EU partner will provide an introduction to the topics assigned to each of the 4 Junior scholars. Part 2. Each of the 4 Junior scholars will then follow an intensive training on a teaching unit according to their skills and together with the trainer they will start to design the new teaching units to be done during WP3.
Intensive training • Introduction to main lines of research and current research questions in each specific topic. • Teaching methodology for each specific topic. • Main papers and online references on each specific topic. • How to make research according to the EU standards
