Geneva 2013 Water conditions in the Czech Republic • water resources depend almost on atmospheric precipitation • almost all rivers drain into the surrounding states Note: 1) Annual inflow to the territory of the Czech Republic from neighboring states. 2) Annual runoff from the territory of the Czech Republic. 3) Determined as the flow in the main catchment areas with 95% probability.

Geneva 2013 Collected data on water use • collected data are the reports submitted to the Czech Statistical Office by the respective river basin administrators • deadline is 31 March of the following year • the data for are classified based on the NACE according toEurostat • before 2008 was used older classification according to the SCEA

Geneva 2013 Collected data on water use • only abstraction above 6000m3/year or 500 m3/month in millions of m3 • monitoring of water abstractions by sector has been going on since 1980 • following kinds of use are registered • drinking water supply • agriculture + irrigation • energy • industry + mining • other use
